Lone Wolf Documentary Group announces a marquee special for The History Channel on the voyage of The Mayflower.

South Portland, Maine - May 17, 2005 - Lone Wolf Documentary Group announced today a marquee three-hour production for The History Channel on the voyage of The Mayflower that will air Thanksgiving 2006.

The Mayflower will be a three-hour HDTV documentary for The History Channel that will tell the story of the Pilgrims' legendary voyage from persecution to exile and a new beginning in America.

Lisa Wolfinger, Producer and Director for The Mayflower said, "Every American thinks they know the story of the Pilgrims, their voyage on the Mayflower and the first Thanksgiving. But the sanitized and homogenized version we all learned in school and revisit every Thanksgiving holiday bears little resemblance to the dramatic actual events and people we think we know so well. The three-hour special will dig deeper into the facts than any film to date. Accurate dramatizations taken from original source material will bring to life the story of a small group of men, women and children who live through religious persecution, exile and a harrowing journey to a hostile land in the hope of creating a new and better life."

Emmy Award-winning Lone Wolf Documentary Group has produced over 50 hours of programming for The History Channel, including over twenty episodes of The History Channel's successful series Deep Sea Detectives, a documentary on the Salem witch trials entitled Witch Hunt, and most recently a four-hour docudrama on the early exploration of North America entitled Conquest of America.

The Mayflower will be shot on location in and around Plymouth, Massachusetts, historic St. Mary's City, Maryland and other locations with filming to commence June 2005.
