2004 - 2005 PRIMETIME EMMY AWARDS NOMINATIONS
Lone Wolf Documentary Group's Conquest of America - The Southwest Receives Nomination in Costume Design Category
South Portland, Maine, July 28, 2005 - Nominations for the 57th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards for the period of June 1, 2004 through May 31, 2005, were recently announced by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences from the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre, North Hollywood, California. The Academy's Chairman of the Board & CEO Dick Askin presided, assisted by Jami Gertz and Michael Imperioli.
Lone Wolf Documentary Group's production for The History Channel entitled Conquest of America - The Southwest has been nominated in the category of Costume Design by the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Costume Design for the program was provided by Jeanine Wiest, and Phil Wayne was Costume Supervisor for the program Conquest of America - The Southwest.
The awards presentation telecast awarding Emmys in 27 categories will be televised by the CBS Television Network on Sunday, September 18, from the Los Angeles Shrine Auditorium.
On Sunday, September 11, also at the Shrine Auditorium, 61 awards "categories" (a single award) and "areas" (possibility of one, more than one or no award) will be awarded.
Additional awards may also be given for the four "juried areas" (no nominations) of Costumes for a Variety or Music Program, Voice-Over Performance, Individual Achievement in Animation and Interactive Television. The announcement of these awards, if any, will be released in August. Two additional awards may also be given for Engineering Development and the Governors Award. These awards, if any, will be announced later this month.
A total of 434 separate nominations in 88 categories and areas, were compiled by the independent accounting firm of Ernst & Young LLP.
